My inspiration comes from a lifelong passion for colour, form and texture.

Introduction

Early retirement has enabled me to indulge my lifelong passion for painting and to become more innovative and varied in my work.

The desire to paint began at the age of thee when I drew and painted on my bedroom walls !

Using various media including acrylics , mixed media and watercolour , I enjoy painting landscapes, seascapes, still life and cockerels.

I exhibit my work in Shropshire and also on The Wirral where prizes have been  awarded to me by The Grosvenor Society in Chester, The Deeside Art Group and The Heswall Art Society.

In Shropshire I exhibit annually with The Oswestry Art Society, The Church Stretton and Ellesmere Art Festivals in addition to The Ellesmere College National Exhibition.

There are examples of my work on the Gallery page for you to view.  If you have any questions or wish to see my work at my studio in Ellesmere please feel free to contact me.

Approach

My inspiration  comes from a lifelong passion for colour, form and texture.  I enjoy experimenting and have developed a technique using tissue and acrylics in order to create an exciting surface on which to work.
